Neuroscience

Neuroscience is the study of the structure and function of the human brain and nervous system.  Biology and psychology are studied together. The concept of neuroplasticity —the brain’s ability to change and reorganize its structure — is at the heart of healing. The ability of the brain to make new neural connections fosters meaningful change (“neurons that fire together, wire together”).  Embodied psychotherapy, that is, a therapy that consciously directs awareness to experience and helps one learn and practice new thoughts and behavior, can produce durable biological changes in the brain.
